Embrilliant Things I Ponder

Hello Everyone,

Big News is coming soon! I think about this a lot and it is distracting. My family wonders where my mind is sometimes. I can be ‘at work’ while at breakfast. My wife is used to it, and I try to be present as much as possible, but right now it is difficult.

We are moving forward in many ways here at BriTon Leap: Last week we moved into a new office. I can’t believe 3 years passed at the last one. While it was a great location, it was a bit of a cave, so now we’re in some better digs. Lots of light and several windows that actually open!

And we’re about to release the main Embrilliance product. This will be for both Mac and Windows. I have some decisions to make with regard to it; Name, Price and Features.

My Trip to Missouri and Illinois

I was in St. Louis last week. Got to see the arch during a nice little traffic jam. It made for an interesting place to be stuck in traffic – here’s the iPhone photo:

Also I went over to Calico Country in Carbondale, IL. (Go Salukis) We had a couple nice days and the events went well. We talked about Interactives, CustomWorks II and MasterWorks. There was a glitch with serial numbers on the DensityWorks boxes, but by now that’s been resolved.

Coming home Sunday morning, I took Hwy 3. It was beautiful! Even got to see Chester, IL, home of Popeye.

Thanks to all my new friends in Southern IL!

Sally Cheney posted some photos of my event…

I always have fun when I’m hanging out with Sally and Lee. After the last event I did in Nashville, Lee took me out on his sailboat. He even let me have a good long turn with the tiller!

Sally put up some photos from the event, so I thought I’d put the link in here.

The Gallery Connection June ’09 – UFOs revisited

One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is meeting you, our customers. Recently I had the chance to attend an event with around 250 people, men and women, from all walks of life, with at least one thing in common; they love to embroider. I was shown so many examples of their creativity, that I was once again surprised at the uses of our products. I never get used to that. Continue Reading…

Gallery Connection Sept ’07 – Holiday Sewing

Wow, can you believe how fast time passes? Summer is over, kids are back to school, and sewing for the fall holidays is about to begin. Okay, maybe you’re not ambitious about it. But we’re only a few weeks away from Halloween. If we actually start this week, we’re right on time! Maybe too we can get a bunch of projects done which will get us through the holidays. I hear you cynics at home, “Yeah, right.” Well, let me be your cheerleader at least. Continue Reading…

Gallery Connection – May ’07

The art of fabric embellishment has been around for as long as fabric itself. And we know that thousands of years ago, Egyptians were embroidering. Today, we see much commercially embroidered fabric used both in fashion and for interior decoration. And although it’s everywhere around us, seldom to we embroiderers begin a project with embellished fabric. Personally I think this is a result of the availability of embroidery designs, or lack thereof. Continue Reading…
